Bishop Efraim Tendero

Secretary General, World Evangelical Alliance

Bishop Tendero is the current Secretary General of the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA), a dynamic global platform for unity and action that comprise 600 million evangelicals in 129 countries with a vision to accomplish God’s purposes in discipling the nations for Jesus Christ.  WEA seeks to strengthen local churches through national alliances, such as the Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches (PCEC), which Bishop Tendero served as National Director for more than 20 years. PCEC represents some 30,000 evangelical churches, 69 denominations, and 160 para church and mission organizations.

His rich ministry experience and dynamic preaching has taken him to at least 30 countries where he spoke about leadership, church growth and missions.  

Bishop Tendero earned his B. A. in Theology from FEBIAS College of Bible in 1978. He was a cum laude and was the recipient of that year’s Most Outstanding Student Award.

Bishop Leo Alconga

National President, Philippines For Jesus Movement

Bishop Alconga served Biblica for over 28 years.  Biblica, is a worldwide ministry that has been helping people read and understand God’s Word for over 200 years. It is committed to providing the Bible in accurate, contemporary translations and formats so that more people around the world will have the opportunity to be transformed by Jesus Christ.  Biblica works with over 85 strategic partners in the East Asia Region.

Bishop Alconga is the incumbent National President of the Philippines for Jesus Movement.  With more than forty (40) bishops from different Christian churches nationwide as members, PJM seeks a righteous, transformed and blessed country where God is the Lord.  

He is also a Member of the Board, Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches (PCEC); Chairman, Free Mission Churches of the Philippines; and Vice-Chairman, Philippine Mission Association.

Bishop Leo Alconga earned his B.A. in Theology from FEBIAS College of Bible in 1974.  

Dr. Anacleto S. Carag

Director, FEBIAS College of Bible

Dr. Anacleto Solito Carag is an alumnus of FEBIAS College of Bible (1987). He earned his M.A. in Religion, Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry at Westminster Theological Seminary in California, USA. He was awarded as Resident Scholar of the same seminary while working on his Ph. D. dissertation. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Philosophy with distinction (Magna Cum Laude) at the De La Salle University, Manila.

He is an Associate Pastor of Sampaloc Bible Christian Community. He serves as Council of Advisor National Maritime Police (NCR) and Vice Chair for International Center for Care, Progress and Development, Inc. He is the Chair for CHED Technical Committee for Christian Formation Member, CHED Technical Panel for Humanities Member, CHED-NCR Quality Assessment Team in the area of Religion Evaluator and Philippine Council for NGO Certification.

He is married to Dr. Emile Carag, a dentist and a nurse. He and his wife are blessed with three children: Robert Scott, Nellie Ann and Stephanie Joy.

On March 7, 2007, by an overwhelming vote, the Board of Trustees elected him as the tenth President of FEBIAS College of Bible and has been serving the seminary since June 1 of the same year.

Dr. Timoteo Gener

Chancellor, Asian Theological Seminary

The mission of Asian Theological Seminary is to glorify God by providing quality theological education to prepare leaders who will effect Biblical transformation in the Church and societies in Asia and beyond. It was started in 1969 by Far Eastern Gospel Crusade (now SEND International) missionaries. It is passionate about discovering how to incarnate Christ in the diverse contexts of Asia and training workers who can minister the transforming Gospel in those contexts.  

Dr. Gener assumed the Presidency of the Asian Theological Seminary in April 2011.  Prior to that, he taught theology subjects since 2002. He served the seminary in various capacities as  Director of Research, Head of the Department of Theology and Associate Dean of Faculty since 2009. He was also the Director of the Theological Studies Program of the Asia Graduate School of Theology – Philippines.  

Dr. Gener holds a Bachelor of Theology degree from FEBIAS College of Bible.  He graduated Magna cum Laude.

Dr. Edilberto Banzuelo

President Emeritus, FEBIAS College of Bible

Dr. Edilberto V. Banzuelo, the ninth President who has served FEBIAS, was born and raised in Iloilo City. At 18 years of age, he found new life in Christ and two years later entered FEBIAS as a student. Five years later, in 1963, he graduated with a Bachelor of Theology degree. He received the Highest Scholastic Award and Most Outstanding Student Award.

In 1964 he responded to God’s call to FEBIAS and has since served the College in various roles. For ten years (1972-1982) he was Dean of Academic Affairs and then President until his retirement in 2007. To this day, Dr. Ed continues to serve his Alma Mater as Faculty member and member of the Board of Trustees.

The centerpiece of his administration’s strategy is two-pronged: personnel and program. He doggedly pursued all efforts to establish and maintain a system of ranking and equitable salary scale and personnel development and training. For its programs, he left no stone unturned to ensure their responsiveness and relevance to the needs of the Church. It is no surprise that prior to his retirement, he was honored as President Emeritus for his 25 years of dedicated service and outstanding contribution to FEBIAS ministry and the Christian community.

Pastor Pio Tica

Pastor, Malabon International Baptist Church

The Malabon International Baptist Church under Bishop Pio, is an active church, engaged not only in the spiritual uplift of its community but also even in the political aspect.  Bishop Tica leads Laging May Pag-asa Foundation (LAMPF) and is also instrumental in the creation of the Malabon Ministers for Moral Values (MMMV).

The story of the Tica family is a powerful reminder of the impact of just one copy of the Bible.  His father, Eriberto received a copy of God’s word from the Gideon’s International that led to his receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior.  From then on, the succeeding generations become pastors, preachers and church planters. To date, more than 600 churches have been planted by members of the Tica family.  

Bishop Tica is currently the President of the FEBIAS College of Bible Alumni Association.

He is an ABTh, 1970 graduate.

Pastor James Aberin

Philippine Director, SEND Philippine Sending Council (PSC)

James and his wife Helen met at FEBIAS College of Bible.  They were missionaries to Poland for seven years before returning to the Philippines in 2007.  

PSC’s mission is to mobilize God’s people in the Philippines to engage the unreached in order to establish reproducing churches.  The tide has turned for the Philippines, which used to receive thousands of missionaries. Pastor James believes the country is now poised to respond to Jesus’ call to go and make disciples of all nations.   The availability of training at top-notch biblical institutions, coupled with an extensive church-planting and evangelism experience fuels this missionary force. During seminary, students gain tools and habits for ministry but it is not until actual ministry practice that the advantages of these training manifest itself.  

Pastor James has a Bachelor of Theology degree obtained in 1984.

Pastor Jebo Banzuelo

Senior Pastor, Christian Gospel Center and Broadcaster, 702 DZAS

Pastor Jebo Banzuelo serves as Senior Pastor at Christian Gospel Center since 1997. He also ministers as a Broadcaster at 702 DZAS, the AM station of FEBC in his daily program Kamalayan and PARE Parenting And Relationship Enhancement on Sundays.

He is a graduate of Bachelor of Arts in Theology in 1997 and Bachelor in Missionary Aviation in 1999 here at FEBIAS College of Bible.

Pastor Al Termulo

Senior Pastor, CROSSWorld Church

Coming from High School with difficulty in communicating with others, FEBIAS helped him develop the skill of speaking and expressing himself. He got trained with the discipline of always being prepared for preaching. While being a student, he developed to love God’s Word through his time of being in the campus. “FEBIAS is so empowering, it has given me the opportunity to develop and utilize the gifts God has blessed me with.”

He thanks FEBIAS for preparing him to be a pastor and building in him a very strong foundation in Bible and Theology.

CROSSWorld Church started in 1981 and has grown to a thousand members with 20 Churches all over the Philippines and abroad. By God’s Grace, they were able to establish a tribal ministry in Palawan and Kids at Home Orphanage in Marilao, Bulacan.

He graduated with the degree Bachelor of Bible and Theology in 1986.

Rev. Isagani Deslate

Senior Pastor, UCCP – Ellinwood, Malate Church

Rev. Deslate is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ in the Philippines (UCCP).  He is now the senior pastor of the UCCP-Ellinwood Malate Church.

Rev. Deslate wrote “Touching All of Life”, a book of sermons.  He also co-authored “Supplement to Chapters in Philippine Church History”, which is published by OMF.  To this date, he provides counselling to couples and individuals and facilitates spiritual retreats for church groups and organizations.  He too, is a sought out speaker in seminaries and Bibles colleges, facilitates training programs for Pastors, church workers and lay leaders. 

Pastor Deslate graduated magna cum laude from FEBIAS College of Bible, where he obtained his Bachelor of Theology in 1982. 

Rev. Elmer P. Surigao

National Director, Zion Christian Community Church

After completing his degree in AB Major in Bible and Theology at FEBIAS in 1998, he was assigned to a church planting mission in Ormoc City, Leyte. He then became the resident pastor of ZCF Calumpit where he has been serving since 2000. He also initiated church planting efforts throughout the Central Luzon area.

In his own words, “FCB Ministry gave me my roots (foundation) and my wings (vision). I owe the best of my spiritual training and foundation from FEBIAS. In our pastors’ meetings and casual conversations (most of our pastors and leaders are also graduates of FEBIAS) we remember with relish our days in the dorms, how we learned to do our devotions. And in the classrooms, how we got our theology. And in our weekend Christian services, how we get to apply what we learned. I don’t think we would have been better Christian leaders if not for FEBIAS.”

He is currently a part-faculty in FEBIAS since 2005 teaching Hermeneutics, Homiletics, Old Testament and Pastoral Theology among others. He considers it a great blessing to learn with fellow Christian educators, and partner with them in molding future pastors and teachers.

Professor Jonathan Edwards Banzuelo

Adjunct Faculty, FEBIAS College of Bible and Pulpit Minister, Christian Gospel Center

Professor Jay Banzuelo serves as Adjunct Faculty at FEBIAS College of Bible and a Pulpit Minister at Christian Gospel Center in Valenzuela. He ministers as a pastor in the past 24 years and preaches in various Evangelical Christian Churches nationwide. He is also a Broadcaster at the Far Eastern Broadcasting Company.

He graduated with Bachelor of Arts in Theology in 1993.

Romeo L. Dela Rosa, FRIEDr

President & CEO, Richwell Colleges, Inc. and School Director, PBC Sunbeam School, Inc.

Mr. Romeo “Bobby” L. dela Rosa is both a musical artist and an educator. He has a college degree in music and in education, completed his Bachelor of Church Music Major in Church Music Conducting in 1986. In 2015, he was recognized as an Awardee for Culture and the Arts by the Municipality of Plaridel, Bulacan.

He is the founding President and CEO of Richwell Colleges. He has been the executive director for sixteen years now of PBC Sunbeam School, the largest private school in Plaridel. He was conferred as FELLOW OF ROYAL INSTITUTE OF EDUCATORS SINGAPORE last November 9, 2018.

Pastor Clemente Guillermo

Back to the Bible Broadcast

Listeners of the radio program Heart Line over 702 DZAS fondly calls him Pastor Clem. His heart’s passion – Rebuilding Shattered Lives, Restoring Broken Homes and Repairing Damaged Emotions has taken him on an exciting ministry of encouragement to the Filipino diaspora in the United States of America, Singapore, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Japan, Australia, Korea and the Middle East. 

Up until his recent promotion to his heavenly home, Pastor Clem served as the Managing Director of the Back to the Bible, Philippines.  Back to the Bible potentially reach a worldwide audience of 3.5 billion or 56% of the world’s population.   It broadcasts 64 unique radio programs hosted by 50 Bible teachers in 22 languages.

Pastor Clem also headed the Church Board of Proclaim His Name Christian Fellowship where he and his family are active members. 

Pastor Clem is a 1976 ABTH graduate of FEBIAS.

Dr. Luis Pantoja, Jr., Th.D.

Dr. Luis Pantoja Jr. served as Senior Pastor of Greenhills Christian Fellowship for 17 years, until 2010. Under his leadership, by God’s Grace, GCF established 14 satellites locally and their ministry expanded overseas continuously leading people “To Know Christ and Make Him Known.”

He completed his Bachelor of Theology at FEBIAS College of Bible in 1969.

Rev. Mike Lacanilao

Man Behind Mabuting Balita

As a freshman student at FEBIAS, Rev. Mike Lacanilao started working at DZAS as a part-time announcer. Upon graduating in 1958 with honors, he went to full-time ministry work with the Far East Broadcasting Company and literally rose from the ranks, having varied opportunities of newscasting, scriptwriting, preaching and managing both DZAS and DZFE at different times.

He was sent as a missionary for FEBC’s Okinawa station in 1974 before returning to become FEBIAS College of Bible’s President from 1976-1982. Ending his term and retiring from FEBC after 30 years of fulfilling ministry, he served as Managing Director of Back to the Bible until 1997. It was also during this time that he became a mainstay co-anchor of GMA Balita where he ended newscasts with Scripture verse and commented on it briefly. A well-known preacher, both on the air and behind the pulpit, he maintains a regular ministry in different churches.

Pastor Ruwinner A. Delos Reyes

Head Pastor, Bauan Bible Christian Church

Ptr. Ruwinner A. Delos Reyes is currently the Head Pastor of Bauan Bible Christian Church in Batangas. Finishing Bachelor of Arts in Theology Major in Pastoral Studies in 2003, he served in BBCC, first, as an Associate Pastor for the youth after graduation. He looks back to his alma mater as God’s instrument for him to be grounded in the Word and equipping him with the necessary skills to accurately interpret and preach dynamically. “FEBIAS training prepared me for a lifelong full-time ministry.”

Sierry Soriano Tendero

Executive Director & Founder, KBCF Operation Paglingap Foundation

Sis. Sierry Tendero founded the Kamuning Bible Christian Fellowship Operation Paglingap Foundation in 1996 and serves as its Executive Director until now. She is also the Directress and Founder of the KBCF Kinder Care Christian School that started in 1990.

After her FEBIAS training, she served as Follow-up worker for Christian Growth Ministries in 1979 before becoming the Christian Education Director at KBCF in 1980.

She sees her developmental years spent in FEBIAS as preparation to be a mentor/discipler, mother of four children, a pastor’s wife, wife of a national leader and now wife of a global leader. She praises God for how her training ushered the growth of her gifts and abilities that she was able to use in her ministries.

Rev. Fernando Paunil

National Director, Prayer-Life Seminars, Phils.

Rev. Paunil also serves as an Advisory Board for Prayer-Life Seminars, USA since 1994.

After his FEBIAS training, he was an Associate & Pioneering Pastor for Free Methodist Church (1985-87) then ministered as Broadcaster/Counselor for Back to the Bible, Philippines (1988-1994).

He is also doing ministry with Global Day Of Prayer since 2012.

He graduated with AB Theology in 1985.

Marlene Sitchon-Ketutdjati

Toronto, Canada

After teaching Nursery and Kindergarten at FEBIAS, she became the Administrative Assistant for the Overseas Program Department at FEBC. She served as a staff member at Open Doors and Executive Secretary at World Vision International, Asia Regional Office.

She is now serving at Hallelujah Fellowship Baptist Church as Mission Coordinator and leads the Ladies Fellowship.

FEBIAS shaped her values as a child of God and her work ethics. She also developed a heart for missions while she was in FEBIAS. Her training allowed her to have a good grasp of ministerial skills that was beneficial for her and her ministry assignments over the years. She has come to realize the importance of responding to the Great Commission and to maximize the opportunities within her sphere of influence.

She graduated with Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education in 1974.

Rev. Ariel Jornales, Th.D.

Senior Pastor, Redeemed Christian Fellowship

He is also currently serving as President of the Evangelical Theological College of the Philippines, Luzon and Chairman of the Board of Ministers, Evangelical Free Church of the Philippines.

Dr. Jornales graduated with a degree Bachelor of Arts in Theology, 1986.

Florence Chen Co

New Jersey, USA

Sis. Florence Chen Co attributes her strong foundation in Theology to her training in FEBIAS. Staying in the campus developed a servant leader attitude in her through doing of chores and living with other students. Before moving to New Jersey, she served as Chairperson for the Music Department at FEBIAS. She continues to serve in various ministries where God leads her.

She graduated with a degree of Bachelor in Church Music, 1978.

Pastor Romeo Dizon Manansala

Church Planting Catalyst, SEND Network, SEND New York

Pastor Romy is serving as a pastor since 1980. Our God has brought him to churches here in the Philippines, in New Jersey and in New York. He now serves as a Church Planting Catalyst for SEND Network, SEND New York. He also is a member of the North American Mission Board, Southern Baptist Convention.

He is a graduate of AB Bible and Theology in 1980.

Dr. Ebenezer A. Beloy

Public Schools District Supervisor – Department of Education, Division of City Schools Quezon City

Dr. Beloy served as a teacher for Music and Arts at Makati Hope Christian High School (2002) and at Trinity University of Asia (2004) – teaching also Values Education at the same school. He became Prefect for Discipline (2013) then Assistant Principal in 2016.

In 2017, he started working as National Trainer for Senior High School Teachers at the Department of Education and now serves as the Public Schools District Supervisor for the Division of City Schools, Quezon City.

He is serving at Faith Baptist Church as Choir Conductor and Corporate Secretary for the past several years and as Accreditor for Association of Christian Schools, Colleges and Universities, Accrediting Agency Inc. since 2013.

He graduated with Bachelor of Arts in Theology, Major in Church Music Conducting, 2002.

Pastor David Ramos

President, Evangelical Free Church of the Philippines, Inc.

Ptr. David Ramos finished his Bachelor of Theology at FEBIAS in 1981. He served as a church planter, pastor and Bible school teacher applying what he has learned from the Bible College and what God has taught him over the years. He is now the President of Evangelical Free Church of the Philippines, Inc.

Eden Layaoen-Layda

Missionary, AMG Representative in Development to Southeast Asia, AMG International (Advancing the Ministries of the Gospel International, Chattanooga, TN)

Eden Layda graduated in 1965 with a Bachelor of Religious Education degree. She served as a missionary to Malaysia, Indonesia and here in the Philippines with Overseas Missionary Fellowship (OMF, until 1989) and AMG (up to present).

She’s also part of the Missions Committee of Diliman Bible Church, a volunteer in Chrch of the Risen Lord, UP Diliman and Grace Gospel Church, North Quezon City.

Pastor Timothy Jeng

Bangkok, Thailand

Pastor Timothy Jeng finished his Bachelor in Religious Education at FEBIAS in 1968. He and his wife Rex, also an alumna, settled in Thailand. In 1971, they were instrumental in starting the Bangkok Bible College (now Bangkok Bible Seminary) which trained hundreds of key leaders in local churches and Christian organizations across Thailand and neighboring countries.

 

They continue serving God through an Alliance Church in Bangkok.

Pastor Roberto and Cresencia Ighut

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Ptr. Roberto and Mrs Cresencia Ighut are both graduates of FEBIAS in 1991 and 1992 respectively. They are currently serving at Filipino Evangelical Christian Church in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi UAE. They have served in local churches here in the Philippines before moving to UAE and have put to use their training in Theology and Christian Education where the Lord plants them.

 

 

Pastor Roy and Eloisa Mendoza

Cavite, Philippines

Pastor Roy Mendoza is the Resident Pastor and serves with his wife Eloisa at Christ to the Communities Christian Connections in Biga, Cavite. They have served in various ministries including pastoral care, values formation, workplace ministry and as mobilizer for International Teams Philippines.

They both graduated from FEBIAS in 1997 with Bachelor of Arts in Theology, Major in Pastoral, for Roy and Major in Christian Education for Eloisa. Eloisa also works as a teacher for the Dept. of Education in Naic, Cavite.

Pastor Joash Paunil

Discipleship Pastor, Victory Church, Greenhills

Pastor Joash presently serves as a Discipleship Pastor at Victory Church, Greenhills. After his training at the Bible College, he served as a full-time campus missionary at Every Nation Campus and in 2016 as one of the pastors in their local church in San Juan.

He also oversees a discipleship program for San Juan City’s Police Department in partnership with My Brothers Keeper Ministry, the moral recovery program for PNP. He is also actively partnering with Pamilya Muna Pilipinas Ministries which serves through discipling inmates in the Women’s Correctional.

He graduated at FEBIAS in 2010 with Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministries. 

 

Berne Elmer Mabalay

South Korea

Berne Elmer Mabalay is a graduate of Bachelor of Arts in Bible Theology at FEBIAS in 2000. He taught in FCB for a year and then in IEMELIF Bible College. In 2007, he became Dean of Academic Affairs and served as President towards 2011. He served as Research Associate at CCF for two years before pursuing his Graduate Degree at the International Graduate School of Leadership with Major in Biblical Studies.

In 2015, he completed his Master of Theology in Contextual Theology and is aiming to finish his Doctor of Theology Major in Systematic Theology at Yonsei University in South Korea as 2019 ends.

Atty. Ruth Anne C. Caranguian

Lanna Bible Christian Church, Enrile, Cagayan

Atty. Ruth Anne Caranguian graduated with a Bachelor of Elementary Education Major in Pre-School Education degree in 2013. She served as a Pre-school teacher for a year at the FEBIAS Child Development Center before pursuing her long time dream of becoming a lawyer.

FEBIAS was the place where she found her conviction to fight for the rights of the poor. Hearing stories of the Mangyan during a mission trip opened her eyes to the struggles of the oppressed. This, along with the life stories of people she encountered in her Christian service, who were helpless in their legal problems, moved her to step into law school.

“It was during this season that I was able to utilize the time management training and discipline I gained from FCB. In FEBIAS, we were trained to plan ahead and use our time wisely. And with the grace of God profusely abounding in my life, I finished law school and passed the bar exam the first time I took it.”

She continues to lead Bible studies for the youth and adults of her church, serving also as a Sunday School teacher even through out her law school from 2014 to 2018.
